It was a pleasure to showcase off-grid operation of ARDA's DC Microgrid at our Burlington site to partners and customers on September the 21st.
The future of C&I microgrids was witnessed by global battery company Saft, NY developer GridSquare, Ontario sustainable energy solutions and smart community developer s2e Technologies, Indiana based solar and microgrid developer RES Mid-West, NY distributed energy developer DESquared, and solar DCDC converter manufacturer Alencon Systems. All parties appreciated what the Burlington project represents - a true commercial microgrid, including not only DC connected solar and storage, but also a high efficiency variable RPM natural gas generator, and several high efficiency loads, configured for maximum resiliency and reliability. In addition to the microgrid tour and an in-depth discussion about ARDA's progress with the commercialization of its ARDA DC Microgrid Platform, the hosts and guests exchanged their experiences developing, designing and executing renewable energy projects in different parts of the world.
