Preparation for the commissioning has commenced at Burlington DC Microgrid project. Our team has test energized the LED lights (supplied by Nemalux) and the results are outstanding: the lights provide brighter environment, more even light distribution, less shadows.
The LED lights' energy consumption at 100% setting will be approximately 1/3 of the existing lights consumption. But it looks like the customer might dim the lights to 75%, since even at 50% dimming the LED lights are almost equivalent to the existing lights. On the picture of this section of the factory you can see only 3 of 4 LED light strings lit, the 4th string parallel to the left wall is not lit. The existing lights are off (you can see them next to the lit LED light units). There is a good chance that the energy efficiency targets will by significantly exceeded! The customer is looking forward to switch from the "high-efficiency" lights to LED lights. Comments are closed.
