Sacramento, California ARDA Power and Spectrum Energy Development today announced a strategic alliance to introduce ARDA Power’s unique DC-connected microgrid solution, ARDA DC Microgrid Platform, to customers in California. The two companies have already begun working on several identified project opportunities including commercial, military and community microgrids. The first opportunities are located in Northern California, close to Spectrum’s headquarters, but the companies expect to collaborate across California and beyond. “ARDA’s plug-and-play DC-connected microgrid solution provides Spectrum with the opportunity to apply our depth of knowledge and experience with solar energy and utility interconnections to the rapidly emerging market for microgrids without having to create an internal microgrid engineering department”, pointed out James D’Albora of Spectrum Energy. “We see enormous synergies in pairing ARDA’s innovative microgrid solution with the local market presence and deep experience in solar and distributed energy provided by Spectrum Power”, said Peter Lewis of ARDA Power. Donald Osborn, President of Spectrum Energy noted that “ARDA’s DC-connected microgrid solution provides a perfect way to bring the benefits of a microgrid - including resiliency and increased renewables - to commercial and industrial buildings in California today without the requirement for complex custom engineering or costly interconnect applications. We are just beginning to explore the opportunities, but are already seeing genuine interest from prospective customers”. About Spectrum Energy Spectrum Energy Development Inc.
