The Burlington DC Microgrid system powers select uninterruptible loads at the Head Office/North American manufacturing facility of Etratech (a Gentherm Company) in Burlington, Ontario.

Phase 1: First full deployment of ARDA’s Microgrid Solution in the C&I sector. Phase 2: World’s first EV Charging DC Microgrid, with lithium ion battery and solar upgrades.

Key project assets include Solar PV, Natural Gas Generator, Battery Energy Storage, EV Fast Charger, and 380VDC LED lights.

The microgrid looks like a 15kW Load to the interconnected utility grid, and seamlessly operates during utility grid outages.
